Men’s Soccer- Offense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Craig Johnson I M I Pacific Lutheran | SR | Puyallup, Wash. | Puyallup
Johnson scored four goals over the weekend, including a hat-trick against Whitman to help the Lutes finish the weekend undefeated. Johnson scored in a 4-1 win over Whitworth on Saturday before piling on three on Sunday, including the game-winner in a 6-0 romp of Whitman. His three goal effort on Sunday helped Johnson surpass his brother— Derek— for 10th place on the all-time career points list.
Men’s Soccer- Defense- Student-Athlete of the Week
Alvin Kamau I D I Pacific Lutheran | FR | Nairobi, Kenya | High Mowing School (N.H.)
Kamau was part of a defensive unit that allowed just five shots on goal all weekend, earning a pair of wins to open NWC play. Kamau helped the defense post its first shutout of the season on Sunday, blasting Whitman 6-0. That effort, including scoring his first two collegiate goals— one in each half— in the route of Whitman.
