HILLSBORO,ORE.- The George Fox Bruins earned 8 first place votes and 64 points to take the top spot in the Northwest Conference Women’s Cross Country preseason poll, as voted on by NWC head coaches. George Fox were the champions in 2021 and 2022. Pacific (Ore.) earned 48 points for second in the poll, followed closely by Pacific Lutheran with 46 points.
Lewis & Clark earned one first place vote and 44 points to finish fourth in the poll. Whitman finished fifth with 31 points, followed by Linfield with 28 points and Whitworth with 27 points. Willamette (26) and Puget Sound (10) round out the poll.
The 2023 Northwest Conference Cross Country Championships will be hosted by Whitworth University on October 28th.
