HILLSBORO, ORE.- The George Fox Bruins are predicted to repeat as the Northwest Conference Men’s Cross Country Champions in 2023, as voted on by NWC head coaches. The Bruins earned eight first place votes and a total of 64 points. The Bruins were NWC co-champions in 2018 and champions in 2019, 2021 and 2022. The cross country championship was not held in 2020 as a result of Covid-19.
Pacific Lutheran earned 56 points and one first place vote to come in second, followed by Whitworth with 46 points. Lewis & Clark finished in the fourth place spot with 40 points and Pacific (Ore.) earned 28 points for fifth. Puget Sound and Willamette tied for sixth with 26 points each. Whitman (22) and Linfield (16) round out the poll.
The 2023 Northwest Conference Cross Country Championships will be hosted by Whitworth University on October 28th.
