Trotignon & Dryden Named NWC Baseball Student Athletes of the Week

HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Baseball for the week of April 10th through 19th.

 

Baseball- Position Student-Athlete of the Week

Cole Trotignon I Pacific Lutheran University | SR | 1B/P  I Kent, Wash. | Kentwood

Trotignon had a base hit in all five games last weekend, finishing 12-for-24 at the plate with nine RBIs, seven runs scored and four home runs. Holds the school record for career home runs with 27. 

 

Baseball- Pitcher Student-Athlete of the Week

Hunter Dryden  I Whitworth University | RHP I JR | Deer Park, Wash. | Deer Park

Dryden started the NWC regular season finale against Puget Sound and threw eight shutout innings. He allowed only two hits and needed only 88 pitches to earn the win in a 14-0 shutout that eliminated the Loggers from contention for the NWC tournament. He struck out four batters and walked only one to improve to 5-2 this season for a team that has only won ten games.
