Women’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week
Alison Takamiya I George Fox University | JR | Honolulu, Hawai’i | Punahou
Takamiya was the medalist at the UC Santa Cruz Invite over Easter Weekend, shooting a 148 (+4) for the tournament. Takamiya beat out players from four other top-10 opponents (#2 Redlands, #6 Pomona-Pitzer, #7 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, #8 UT Dallas) to earn the victory. After a round one of 73, the junior recorded 12 pars and an eagle on day two to beat out Pomona-Pitzer's Claire Whisenant by one stroke.
