HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Men’s Track & Field for the week of April 3rd through 10th.
Men’s Track Student-Athlete of the Week
Jordan Lahusky I Lewis & Clark College | FR | Phoenix, Ariz. | Thunderbird
Lahusky won the 100m and helped Lewis & Clark's 4x400m relay team win and post the fastest time in the Northwest Conference this season on Friday night at the John Knight Twilight Meet. Lahusky defeated a field of 25 runners in the 100m with a PR time of 10.97 (fourth-best in the NWC this season). He came back in the 4x400m relay to team up with Nicholas Stade, Sean Bodi and Noah Nelson for a first-place showing. Their time of 3:22.23 in the 4x400m is 3.2 seconds faster than second-place Pacific University in the event.
Men’s Field Student-Athlete of the Week
Dieumerci Migani I George Fox University | FR | Portland, Ore. | Roosevelt
In just his second attempt at the men's triple jump, Migani won the event with a jump of 48-06.25 feet at the Jenn Boyman Memorial Invite. His mark, beating out competitors from Linfield and Pacific, is good for second all-time in George Fox history. The freshman's mark places him at second in the nation, the only freshman in the top 15.
