Joyce & Joyner Named NWC Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week

HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Baseball for the week of February 27th through March 7th.

 

Baseball- Position Student-Athlete of the Week

Dylan Joyce I University of Puget Sound | SR | San Rafael, Calif.| Marin Catholic

Joyce became the first Logger to reach 30 career home runs, and added in 2 more for a total of 32 career home runs. Joyce totaled eight RBI in a single game against Linfield - a career-high for the slugger. 

 

Baseball- Pitcher Student-Athlete of the Week

Brady Joyner I Willamette University| JR | RHP I Las Vegas, Nev. | Shadow Ridge

Joyner picked up his 5th and 6th saves of the year with a 0.00 ERA to secure two one-run wins (7-6 and 4-3) for Willamette as the Bearcats swept George Fox in a three-game series. In the 7-6 win in the series opener on Saturday, he pitched the final 1 2/3 innings and allowed no runs and one hit with one strikeout. In the 4-3 win in the next game on Sunday, he pitched the final inning and allowed no runs and no hits. He has 15 career saves to rank second all-time at Willamette.
