Women’s Track Student-Athlete of the Week
Jessica Neal I George Fox University | SR | Brownsville, Ore. | Central Linn
Neal broke a 20-year program record in the women's 3000m steeplechase, finishing with a time of 11:21.03 at the Westmont Classic. Neal's time puts her in seventh place in the nation, 21 seconds faster than her nearest conference competitor.
Women’s Field Student-Athlete of the Week
Alison Young I George Fox University | Huntington Beach, Calif.| Huntington Beach
Young's pole vault of 12' 5.5" at the Westmont Classic put her not only in second place in the nation, but tied her for the all-time record in George Fox history. The junior's personal best put her in a tie for first with Melodie Quiroz, an athlete competing for Division I UC Santa Barbara.
