Women’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week
Alison Takamiya I George Fox University| JR | Honolulu, Hawai’i | Punahou
Takamiya showed out at the Westbrook Invite at the Lakes in Peoria, Ariz. Against five other ranked teams, including No. 1 Redlands, Takamiya took individual first place out of 55 golfers with rounds of 70 and 71, recording seven birdies for the weekend as the Bruins finished 2nd overall.
Men’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Week
Alex Weirth I Willamette University| SR | Post Orchard, Wash. | Crosspoint Academy
Alex Weirth won the Battle at Bar Run individual championship at 5-under par 65 after winning a playoff on the second hole (with a par) against teammate Lucas Paul. The tournament was shortened to 18 holes due to the weather. Willamette won the team title at 5-under par 275 on the par 70 Bar Run Golf Course.
