HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Baseball for the week of February 13th through 20th.
Baseball- Position Student-Athlete of the Week
Jack Thomson I Lewis & Clark College | SR | Millbrae, Calif.| Saint Ignatius
Thomson dominated Pacific Lutheran pitching to help Lewis & Clark earn a road series win in their Northwest Conference opener. The senior third baseman went 7-11, with nine runs, six RBI, four home runs, eight walks (five intentional) and two hit by pitches in four games. On Saturday, Thomson posted three hits in both games and added three solo home runs, including two in the team's 7-2 game two win. He added a home run early in game three, before Pacific Lutheran elected to allow four straight walks. Thomson finished the game 1-1 with five runs and five walks (three intentional) and a stolen base.
