HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in Swimming for the week of November 13th through 20th.
Women’s Swimming- Student-Athlete of the Week
Alayna Kisiday I Willamette | JR | Silverdale, Wash. | Central Kitsap
Kisiday won the 100-yard freestyle (55.27) and swam the anchor leg on the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:54.94, win by .05) against Whitman. In the meet with Whitworth, Kisiday swam the anchor leg on the winning 400-yard medley relay (4:13.57). She also won the 100-yard freestyle (55.87) and the 200-yard freestyle (2:03.57).
Men’s Swimming- Student-Athlete of the Week
Zachary Washburn I Whitworth | JR | Moses Lake, Wash. | Moses Lake
Washburn did not lose a race in dual meets at Linfield and Willamette. At Linfield, he won the 50 freestyle in 21.20, the 100 free in 46.33 and anchored the winning 200 free relay to a time of 1:26.61 with a split of 20.95. The Pirates defeated the Wildcats 130-75. At Willamette he anchored the winning 400 medley relay to a time of 3:39.18, then won the 200 freestyle in 1:45.61. He closed the weekend by anchoring the winning 400 free relay to a time of 3:17.74. The Pirates beat the Bearcats 142-60.
