Women’s Swimming- Student-Athlete of the Week
Emma Gassman I Pacific Lutheran | SR | Sitka, Alaska | Sitka
Gassman won the 200-backstroke in a double dual against SWOCC and College of Idaho while placing second in the 200 IM and 400 free relay. Her winning time of 2:14.65 in the 200 back is currently the fastest time in the NWC in that event.
Men’s Swimming- Student-Athlete of the Week
Tyler Tanaka I Pacific Lutheran | SO | Anatolia, Hawaii | Kapaa
Tanaka won a pair of events on Friday in the Lutes' double dual against SWOCC and College of Idaho. Tanaka won the 50 free in 22.51 and won the 200 breaststroke in 2:12.78. Tanaka additionally placed second as a member of the 400-yard medley relay team. Tanaka currently owns the second fastest 200 breast time this season.
