Hillsboro, Ore.- The Linfield women's swimming team captured their first team championship in 30 years in the 2022- 2023 season and are predicted to repeat as Northwest Conference champions in the 2023-24 season, as voted on by conference head coaches. The Wildcats earned 62 points and six first-place votes. Whitman ranks second in the polls with 59 points and three first-place votes.
Puget Sound has been picked to finish third with 47 points. Pacific Lutheran and Whitworth tied for the fourth place spot with 41 points apiece. Willamette earned 28 points for fifth, followed by Lewis & Clark with 20 points. George Fox (20 points) and Pacific (8 points) round out the poll.
The season kicks off Friday, October 27th as Lewis & Clark hosts the NWC Relay Meet. The 2023 NWC Swimming Championship meet will be held at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way, Washington, February 8-11th.
