HILLSBORO, ORE.- The Linfield Wildcats predicted to lead the 2023 softball season, as voted on by NWC head coaches. Following a 25-3 conference record and NWC title in the 2022 season, the Wildcats topped the polls with 49 points and 8 first place votes. George Fox placed second with 42 votes and 1 first place vote.
Pacific Lutheran received 38 points to finish 3rd and Whitworth received 28 points for 4th. Lewis & Clarked earned 26 points for 5th. Pacific (17), Willamette (16) and Puget Sound (8) round out the polls.
The regular season begins for most the weekend of February 10th with conference play beginning February 25th.
The NWC Championship tournament will begin April 21st at the #1 Seed.
