HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in softball for the week of February 28th to March 6th.
Softball - Pitcher Student-Athlete of the Week
Tayah Kelley | Linfield | JR | P | Myrtle Creek, OR | South Umpqua
Kelley went 3-0 at the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Georgia, throwing all seven innings in each of her outings. She allowed a combined six runs in the three games, five earned, while striking out 37 batters. She fanned 15 batters against Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 14 against Coe and eight against No. 8 Salisbury. Kelley is 7-0 on the season with a 0.93 ERA. Her 15 K's is tied for the fourth-most in a single game in Linfield history.
Softball - Position Student-Athlete of the Week
Kamryn Potter | George Fox | JR | SS | Junction City, OR | Junction City
Potter hit .500 with an astronomical SLG% of 1.429, four homers, eight RBI, and six runs scored to help Fox take three from PLU in its home opener.
