Softball - Pitcher Student-Athlete of the Week
Tayah Kelley | Linfield | JR | P | Myrtle Creek, OR | South Umpqua
Kelley earned two wins and picked up her first save of the season as Linfield swept Whitworth. Her two wins came in complete-game shutouts, allowing three hits in each game. She struck out nine batters in the series opener on Friday before fanning 14 more in Game 3. In the finale, Kelley held the Pirates scoreless in two innings of work, striking out three along the way. Kelley is 9-0 on the season with a 0.69 ERA.
Softball - Position Student-Athlete of the Week
Emma Podliska | Linfield | JR | C | Auburn, WA | Auburn Mountainview
Podliska batted .714 in Linfield's sweep of Whitworth. She went 5 for 7 with two runs and six RBI. She also drew three walks. Podliska's weekend was highlighted by a 3-for-3 performance with four RBI in Game 3.
