Baseball - Pitcher Student-Athlete of the Week
Tommy Snyder | Pacific Lutheran | SR | SP | Vancouver, WA | Evergreen
Tommy Snyder pitched six shutout innings in the season opener, helping the Lutes smash SCAC Champion Texas Lutheran 8-2 in Seguin, Texas. Snyder struck out four and allowed just two hits, holding the Bulldogs to a .100 batting average.
Baseball - Position Student-Athlete of the Week
Cole Trotignon | Pacific Lutheran | JR | 1B/P | Kent, WA | Kentwood
Trotignon was on fire in Texas, hitting .857 at the plate with six RBIs and two home runs as the Lutes earned a road doubleheader sweep of SCAC Champion Texas Lutheran. Trotignon was three-for-four with five RBIs in game one before going three-fo-rfour with three runs scored in game two. All told, Trotignon had six hits, five runs scored, going six-for-seven at the plate. Trotignon additionally pitched seven innings in game two, striking out six and allowing just two hits and only one earned run.
