HILLSBORO, Ore. – Willamette has been selected as the Northwest Conference frontrunner for the 2022 season, as voted on by conference head coaches. The Bearcats earned 63 points and seven first-place votes. Whitworth ranks second in the poll with 58 points and two first-place votes.
Whitman received 50 points for third, followed by Pacific Lutheran with 41 points for fourth. George Fox takes the fifth spot on the list with 38 points, while Linfield received 29 points to rank them sixth. Puget Sound (19 pts) Pacific (Ore.) (14 pts.) and Lewis & Clark (12 pts) round out the poll.
The NWC Spring Classic will be hosted by Puget Sound April 9th-10th and the NWC Championship will be hosted by Willamette on April 23rd-24th.
