HILLSBORO, Ore. – Whitworth has been selected as the Northwest Conference frontrunner for the 2022-23 season, as voted on by conference head coaches. The Pirates earned 63 points and seven first-place votes for the top spot. Whitman ranks second in the poll with 56 points and two first place votes.
Pacific Lutheran landed the third spot on the list with 48 points, while Pacific (Ore.) received 41 points to rank fourth. Lewis & Clark earned 34 points to rank fifth followed by Linfield (32), George Fox (26), Puget Sound (14) and Willamette (10 pts) to round out the poll.
Conference play will begin Tuesday, November 29 with Lewis & Clark hosting Pacific (Ore.).
