Eisele & Grady Named NWC Swimming Student-Athletes of the Week

HILLSBORO, Ore. - The Northwest Conference is proud to announce its Student-Athletes of the Week in swimming for the week of January 17th to January 23rd.
 
Women’s Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week
Annika Eisele | Pacific Lutheran | SO | Cosmopolis, WA | Aberdeen High School
Won three events and scored 35 points in the Lutes' 136.5-49.5 victory over GFU, extending PLU's dual meet win streak to 25 straight. Eisele was on winning relay teams in the 200 medley relay, 200 free relay, while winning the 100 backstroke and placing second in the 100 butterfly. The dominating day included winning the 200 medley relay by almost 10 seconds. PLU's 200 free relay is currently the fastest team in the NWC.
 
Men’s Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week
Ryan Grady | Whitworth | SR | Gig Harbor, WA | Gig Harbor High School
Ryan won all three of his individual events against Pacific. His time in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:01.16) broke a Whitworth Aquatic Center record set by Rory Buck and is the fastest in the NWC this season. His time in the 200-yard I.M. (1:51.75) was just off his NWC-best mark, and he also won the 200-yard backstroke (2:00.56).
