Pacific (Ore.) Leads 2022 Baseball Preseason Coaches' Poll

HILLSBORO, Ore. – Pacific (Ore.) has been selected as the Northwest Conference frontrunner for the 2022 season, as voted on by conference head coaches. The Boxers earned 61 points and six first-place votes. Willamette ranks second in the poll with 58 points and three first-place votes.
 
Pacific Lutheran received 52 points for 3rd, while Whitworth takes the fourth spot on the list with 38 points. Whitman received 35 points to rank them fifth and George Fox placed sixth with 29 points. Puget Sound (22 pts), Linfield (18 pts), and Lewis & Clark (11 pts) round out the poll.
 
The regular season will begin for most NWC teams Friday, February 4th, with conference play kicking off on Saturday, February 19th.
 
The NWC Championship Tournament will be hosted by the number one seed during the regular season on April 22nd-24th, 2022.
