Women’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week
Jessie Bailey | George Fox | FR | Naperville, IL | Neuqua Valley High School
Jessie Bailey led all D3 athletes at Western Oregon's Ash Creek Invitational this past Friday evening. The freshman standout paced the Bruins to the team win with a 14:32 and 5th place overall showing in the women's 4K. George Fox won the meet with 29 points over D2 Western Oregon.
Men’s Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week
Peter Weiss | George Fox | SR | Laguna Niguel, CA | Crean Lutheran High School
Peter Weiss led all D3 men in the Ash Creek Collegiate Invitational on Friday night, hosted by Western Oregon. Weiss paced the Bruins to the team win, covering the 6K course in 18:57. Peter moved his way from 55th at the mile marker to a 5th place overall finish. Weiss and the Bruins dominated the meet, winning convincingly over D2s Western Oregon and Seattle Pacific, as well as in-conference D3 Willamette.
