Football Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week
Wyatt Smith | Linfield | SR | QB | McMinnville, OR | McMinnville High School
Smith led the Wildcats to a 56-20 win over Division II Simon Fraser on Saturday. He threw 26 of 39 for 307 yards and four touchdowns while also rushing for three yards.
Football Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week
Tyler Bergeron | Linfield | SR | S | Battle Ground, WA | Battle Ground High School
Led a Linfield defense in its 56-20 win over Division II Simon Fraser. He finished tied for the team-lead with six tackles, four solo. He also had 1/2 a tackle for loss. The Wildcats shut out Simon Fraser in the first and third quarters.
Special Teams Student-Athlete of the Week
Andrew Starkel | Linfield | SR | K | Pacific, WA | Auburn Riverside High School
Starkel opened the scoring against Simon Fraser with a 38-yard field goal in the first quarter. He made another field goal in the third quarter from 34 yards. Starkel also was a perfect 6 of 6 on extra point attempts and kicked off nine times for a total of 553 yards.
