Men's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week - Colin Monaghan, Puget Sound (So.)

Monaghan (Puyallup, Wash.) placed fourth out of 57 competitors at the Viking Rust Buster, crossing the finish line at 18:28.2. This marks Monaghan's second Student-Athlete of the Week honor in as many weeks.

Women's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week - Hannah Berdahl, Pacific (Ore.) (So.)

Berdahl (Forest Grove, Ore.) led the women's race with a 36th place finish and was the first Division III team runner to cross the line. Berdahl ran the race in 15:12.0, which is a 37-second improvement for her in the 4k distance.

Men's Soccer Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week - Cesar Cruz-Espindola, Linfield (So., F)

Cruz-Espindola (Beaverton, Ore.) netted a hat-trick in the Wildcats' 8-1 win over Multnomah. It was the first career hat-trick for Cruz-Espindola and just the 12th in program history, helping the Wildcats score the most single-game goals in two years.

Men's Soccer Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week - Jack Cuevas, Pacific (Ore.) (Sr., GK)

Cuevas (Corvallis, Ore.)recorded back-to-back shutouts as the Pacific men's soccer team went 1-0-1 in the Boxers' two matches last week. Pacific started the week with a 0-0 tie against Oregon Tech. Cuevas made seven saves against the Owls attack. He followed that up with a two save effort in the 1-0 shutout win over La Verne on Sunday.

Women's Soccer Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week - Madison Topaum, Linfield (Jr., MF)

A junior college transfer, Topaum (Gresham, Ore.) has adjusted to the NCAA pace, scoring three goals in two games last week. She leads the NWC in goals and points through games played on September 8. She helped the Wildcats go 1-1 last week, including two goals in a 6-0 win over Northwest Christian.

Women's Soccer Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week - Ashton Huppert, Pacific Lutheran (Jr., GK)

Huppert (Chamdler, Ariz.) collected a shutout in her first start in goal, making five saves as the Lutes overcame Redlands, 1-0.

Volleyball Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week - Danielle Skibiel, Pacific Lutheran (Sr., MB)

Skibiel (Snohomish, Wash.) finished the weekend with 52 kills, averaging 3.06 per set while owning a .353 hitting percentage. The senior a match-high 20 kills in a 3-2 upset of #7 Trinity for the nationally-ranked Lutes while racked up nine blocks against Hardin-Simmons. Finished with 23 blocks over four matches. This is Skibiel's second Student-Athlete of the Week honor in as many weeks.

Volleyball Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week - Halle Hetzler, Pacific Lutheran (Fr., LB)

 

Hetzler (Kailua, Hawaii) led the Lutes defensively, averaging 4.35 digs per set, including 20 dig performances against Southwestern and Hardin-Simmons.
