NWC Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week (Jan. 7-Jan. 13)

At the Soka Triangular, Guffey won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:53.36 and took first place in the 100-yard butterfly in 56.93 seconds, winning a close race by 0.04. He also helped WU take second in the 200-yard medley relay in 1:44.86. In a 97-52 win over C of I, he won the 100-yard freestyle in 49.22 seconds and took first place in the 500-freestyle in 5:01.93. He swam the anchor leg as WU won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:45.20. He was third in the 100-yard backstroke in 59.83 seconds.
