Paavola registered 10 strikeouts in a two-hit shutout victory (3-0) in Game 1 against Pacific. After working herself into a second-inning, bases-loaded jam, she escaped by recording a strikeout and coaxing pop out on consecutive at-bats to end the inning. Her second win of the weekend game against Lewis & Clark, against which she tallied a pair of strikeouts in three innings of work.
