Giza gained a total of 149 return yards against Lewis & Clark. He earned 87 yards on 4 kickoff returns, an average of 21.8 yards. He also returned a missed field goal 62 yards. He grabbed the ball near the back line of the end zone and returned it to the L&C 38-yard line with 10:13 left in the 3rd quarter.  Willamette scored six plays later to take a 21-14 lead. The return by Giza helped Willamette gain momentum that led to a 56-20 win.
